Most of my searches only go back a week or 8 days at the most. Even when I search specifically for topics I wrote about last month, they don't show up in search. However, some 3rd party search tools if combine with Twitter Search could make a difference your Twitter Search experience. I must say, I had some hard time finding the best one to use at first since they just keep coming.
